Ms. Murray Please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, I knew I had the gift of passionately arguing my point at the age of four. My dad tried to leave the playground earlier than promised and I promptly informed him that kids have rights too! By age eleven, I knew I wanted to be an attorney. I earned my law degree in 2010. After working for another solo practitioner for about a year or so, after graduation I decided to branch out and start my own practice. In 2012 I started practicing general law and in 2014 I founded Off the Mark IP Solutions. I have a passion for helping entrepreneurs and I’m thrilled that I get to do just that every single day. I believe that my business’s longevity lies in the fact that I am not afraid of change. I am not afraid of trying things, seeing what works and adapting to fit the business needs.
LaConya, what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from others?
I’m incredibly observant, I tend to see things that others miss. I’m not just an attorney, I thrive on helping business owners develop ideas and actionable steps in order to generate revenue.
What is “failure” and “success” for you?
To me, failure is falling into the trap of other’s expectations for you. Living a life that you are unhappy in, just to satisfy someone else expectations of what you should be or do. However, I believe that in every failure there is a lesson to be learned. Learn the lesson. Success is doing what I love while having time to spend with my family, helping others and making massive amounts of money. What is a ceiling?!?

I am a brand attorney, speaker, author, podcaster, and coach. I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs create sustainable businesses in order to live abundant lives, which includes having an abundance of time, money, and clients.
What excites you right now?
Thundercats! No, really, life. Life is exciting! I’m living the life that 12 year old me envisioned and that excites me! That pumps me up and makes me grateful for every opportunity, client, friend and loved one. I especially love seeing people around me making the most of their situations and growing, glowing and thriving.
We are in a pandemic, BUT what’s the best thing that has happened to you this year?
This has been a time for me to put things in perspective, slow down and spend time with my family. This has also been a season of obedience. God told me at the beginning of the year to be obedient, step back and build my team, and I’ve done just that!
