Please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
That’s a long story. In a book I am writing…coming soon. But in general it took a lot of hard work, ignoring what people thought and lots of support from a small group of family and friends.
Attorney Kendrick, what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from others?
I am honest and passionate. Within all the many roles that I have, they all center around the same thing and I am unapologetic about it: I want black wealth, I support black wealth, I grow black wealth. But passion will only get you so far, no matter what anyone says: I am also an expert in my field, holding four (4) degrees, 2 licenses and 1 certification (and working on a 2nd). That’s important to pair with passion and honesty to get the job done and makes my unique in my field—in addition to the fact I am a senior member of the Georgia House of Representatives, getting elected at the age of 27.
What is “failure” and “success” for you?
Failure is when what I want doesn’t align to what God wants. Success is the opposite. Failure usually comes before my success when what I want aligns to what my God wants. The only way failure is permanent is if I don’t learn from it—and I am a lifelong learner so that rarely happens.
We’d love to hear more about your work.

What excites you right now?
Growing black wealth, big or small, last week or now, short term or long term. It doesn’t take much to get me excited but this doe it.
Yeap, we are in a pandemic, BUT what’s the best thing that has happened to you this year?
I hired help! Virtual help of course but I had been saying I needed help for the last 2-3 years and it finally happened; one of the best decisions I have made to help grow and scale my business. “What I do, I do well. What I don’t do well, I don’t do.”- So true.
What ONE thing would you like for our readers to take away from this feature story, about you?
I want your readers to understand the URGENCY of coming together to close the racial wealth gap–and that I am single handedly committed and devoted to that cause. I could give you so many heartbreaking historical facts and statistics but I wake up every day with a mission: To help someone that looks like me grow their wealth for generations to come. But it takes personal responsibility, personal action (policy change must be a part of the conversation) and personal commitment to helping others with that cause. This is a collective, massive movement and it takes each one of us doing our part for the collective good to move the needle.
