As a management consultant, leadership coach, speaker, and author, Wilson is passionate about equipping and encouraging businesswomen. In her book, In the Climb, Wilson shares the techniques she applied to strategically navigate necessary nonsense in the workplace, excel in leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, and heal from her troubled past and personal challenges while achieving success in her career.

No one should struggle on their own to climb through corporate America or find themselves at a plateau because of past trauma. “In my climb,” Wilson says, “I have been blessed by extraordinary colleagues, employees, managers, and clients at amazing companies who helped me find each step forward. These remarkable gifts have enabled and empowered me to create my own company to equip and encourage other professionals—of all levels—to find the greatness they desire and peace of mind. What we see as impossible today is possible tomorrow when we take the proper steps toward it. And this is what I talk about in my book.”

“Markiesha Wilson has been in the climb her entire life,” says two-time bestselling author Theresa R. Williams-Harrison. “She’s done what was required. She’s done what was conceivable. But now she is doing what appears incredible to others but not to her and God. Markiesha’s “Herstory” of faith, belief, perseverance, and determination is the most moving perspective I’ve read.”
