She said” activism is an action not a dream”

Martin Luther King Jr., a towering figure in the civil rights movement, is widely celebrated for his advocacy of nonviolent protest and his commitment to social justice. However, as society continues to grapple with systemic inequalities and injustices, there is a growing need to move beyond mere remembrance of historical figures and embrace a more proactive approach to activism. While King’s legacy remains an inspiration, it is imperative for individuals to actively engage in contemporary activism to address the pressing issues of our time. The Power of Contemporary Activism Contemporary activism has the potential to effect profound change in society. In the digital age, social media platforms have become powerful tools for raising awareness, organizing movements, and amplifying marginalized voices. Grassroots initiatives and community organizing have also proven to be effective in driving local and global change. By embracing contemporary activism, individuals can contribute to meaningful progress on a wide range of issues and inspire collective action. The Role of the Individual It is crucial for individuals to recognize their capacity to effect change and actively contribute to causes they are passionate about. Rather than passively commemorating historical figures, individuals can leverage their time, resources, and platforms to advocate for justice and equality. Whether through volunteering, fundraising, or participating in direct action, individuals can make a tangible impact on the world around them. The Importance of Intersectionality Intersectionality, a concept pioneered by legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw, emphasizes the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, gender, and sexuality. In today’s activism, it is essential to acknowledge and address the intersecting forms of oppression that marginalized communities face. By embracing intersectionality, activists can foster more inclusive and equitable movements that center the voices of those most affected by systemic injustices. Conclusion While Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy continues to inspire and guide the pursuit of justice, it is paramount for individuals to move beyond passive remembrance and embrace a more hands-on approach to activism. By engaging with contemporary issues, leveraging new forms of communication, and advocating for intersectional approaches, individuals can play an active role in shaping a more just and equitable future for all.

As we honor the contributions of historical figures, let us also embody the spirit of activism and work towards creating a more inclusive and compassionate world. Stop cheering for what was done and do something now. This is the situation that humanity now finds itself in. Going after the external fruit means to miss the mark to most than now. Historically, there have been occasional rare awakenings, rare flowerings of human consciousness, but humanity now has a unique opportunity to make this journey as a collective on mass to envision and co- create shared new realities, as we rediscover the higher worlds and wake up from the collective dream of the limited self most humans are currently living almost entirely identified with the gross physical and mental layers and they’re being not even aware that the higher levels exist. Most people do not know or suspect that there are spiritual capacities, latent within the self structure, waiting to be activated.
