I am the founder of Helpmate Home Care with more than 20 years of combined experience in health care and home care. Through my experiences, most elderly and disable loved ones preferred to live at home than a facility and I also learned they heal better in a familiar environment surrounded by loved ones. Wanting to make a difference, I provided a better alternative for the elderly, disable and others needing support and assistance by working with the family to create an individualize care plan, specifically designed to meet their needs so they can stay in the comfort of their own home. I believe that each person should be treated with the highest level of Compassion, Dignity, and Respect.

As a business owner, how do you stay balanced: spiritual, family, social, giving back to the community?
First of all, I put God first in my life. I believe in giving Him the honor and glory in everything I do. Giving reverence to the the day that the Lord has made, I love going to church hearing a word from God. Family is everything to me also, nothing like family, I’m big on family. I love taking time to gather and show love to them through some good ole homemade southern food and sharing in laughter together. Giving and sharing to anyone is no strange thing for me to do. Whether it’s furniture, clothes, money or my time, I don’t mind. I can’t forget about my clients, I love making them feel special on Birthdays, Mother/Father Day, Valentines Day and Christmas to remind them they are special too.
