The Urban League of Greater Atlanta (ULGA), hosted their 8th Annual Spirit of the League Awards at The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta.
The purpose of the Awards Luncheon was to recognize those investing in youth today, empowering young adults tomorrow.
Honorees of the Spirit of the League were: India Evans, Joseph Reese & Sylvea Huey.
Community Partner Honorees of the Spirit of the League were: Omotayo Alli, ESQ of Fulton County Juvenile Court and Dr. Albenny Price of Atlanta Public Schools.
Spirit of the League Champion Award recipient went to Singer, Songwriter, Actress & Community Advocate Keri Hilson.
With a strong belief in ‘giving back’, Keri contributes to charities involved in education, the fight against HIV and AIDS, relief efforts for natural disasters and more. She is fervently working to promote community involvement and help those less fortunate by starting her own non profit, ‘The Keri Hilson Foundation’, with an emphasis on female empowerment and higher education.
Entertainment for the event was the Anonymous Da Band and LaTonya M. Peoples (Violinist/Vocalist).
Nefertiti Jaquez was the emcee, Rev. Kevin Murriel gave the Invocation.
